Chorus pro Musica, Jeffrey Rink, Artistic Director,
has built a superb reputation as one of the great choruses of New England. Known
for innovative programming and high quality performances, Chorus pro Musica
has collaborated with such famed
organizations as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Philharmonic, the
Boston Ballet, and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Recently, the chorus
has sung
at Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
Whether an acclaimed concert version of Verdi's La Traviata,
a choral Pan-American Journey through Latin America, or
the New England premiere of the Chinese Yellow River Cantata,
CpM is always seeking to enrich the musical experience of its audience.
Chorus pro Musica is a choral organization of 100 highly talented musicians
selected by audition. Repertoire consists of choral music from the Renaissance
to the present, with emphasis on new and rarely performed choral music, as well as major
works in collaboration with other music organizations.
Every year, CpM also presents a concert opera performance; in the spring of 2007, it will be
a double bill of Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and Ruggiero Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci.
Recent concert operas have included Verdi’s Attila,
Saint-Saën's Samson et Dalila, Boito's Mefistofele,
and Verdi’s La Traviata.
