After Nabucco and just before Macbeth, Verdi thrilled audiences with the story of Attila the Hun's miraculously thwarted invasion of Italy. Hear the first Boston performance of Verdi's ninth opera, known for irresistible energy, thundering orchestration, and some of his most exciting arias, duets, and choruses. Metropolitan Opera bass Stephen West is Attila, soprano Paula Delligatti is the warrior princess Odabella, tenor Benjamin Warschawski is Foresto, the man she loves, and baritone Robert Honeysucker is Ezio, commander of the Roman armies.

The Concert Opera Boston Attila page has more information, including soloist biographies and program commentary by Michael Sims.
